Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Keeper to join a team responsible for maintaining a number of sites and community facilities within the town. The role involves hands-on grounds maintenance, cleaning, basic building tasks and outdoor inspections.

Work across various locations; driving licence essential for operating vehicles and ride-on equipment. Role is physically demanding, with weekend and bank holiday rota; occasional extra hours for events.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as part of a small team and perform tasks safely, accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to adhere to health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Mow, strim and cut back grounds at maintained sites in line with regimes.
• Clear litter from maintained properties and public areas.
• Inspect play areas and pitches for safety and cleanliness; complete records of checks.
• Carry out grounds and cemetery maintenance; liaise with funeral directors and families during interments.
