Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Ground & Water EIA Lead to coordinate Ground & Water inputs into Environmental Impact Assessments across the UK. You will act as the main interface between EIA teams and Ground & Water specialists, ensuring technical excellence and consistent project delivery.

You will work with EIA Project Managers and Technical Directors to plan resources and oversee inputs from bid stage through project completion.

Qualifications

• Strong multidisciplinary Ground & Water experience across infrastructure, energy, water, property and regeneration projects.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership with a relevant institution.
• Solid understanding of the UK EIA process and environmental planning framework.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Ground & Water inputs to EIA projects across the UK.
• Identify resource requirements and secure qualified specialists.
• Develop scopes of work, fee proposals and project programmes.
• Provide technical oversight and QA of Ground & Water inputs to statements and related assessments.
• Promote consistency in assessment methodologies and mitigation strategies.
• Forecast future EIA opportunities and assist with resource planning.
• Collaborate with regional leaders to balance workloads across Ground & Water.
• Support strategic bids requiring environmental input.
• Share knowledge and best practices between Ground & Water and EIA teams.
