Job summary

WSP is seeking a Ground & Water EIA Lead to coordinate inputs to EIA projects across the UK, aligning Ground & Water specialists with EIA teams. You will work with EIA Project Managers, Technical Directors and Market Leaders to plan resources and ensure services are integrated into delivery.

You will identify opportunities, develop scopes of work and programmes, provide technical oversight, and drive consistent methodologies across projects, contributing to major infrastructure and regeneration

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences or related field.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership with a relevant institution.
• Strong understanding of the UK EIA process and environmental planning framework.
• Experience across Ground & Water disciplines including contaminated land, hydrogeology, geology, groundwater or environmental permitting.
• Experience on multidisciplinary infrastructure or development projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Ground & Water inputs into EIA projects across the UK.
• Collaborate with EIA Project Managers, Technical Directors and Market Leaders on resource planning.
• Identify opportunities and ensure Ground & Water services are integrated into project delivery.
• Develop scopes of work, fee proposals and project programmes.
• Provide technical oversight and QA of Ground & Water inputs to Environmental Statements.
• Promote consistent methodologies and mitigation strategies across projects.
• Forecast future EIA opportunities and resource needs.
• Balance workloads across Ground & Water teams and regional offices.
