Job summary

Electus Recruitment Solutions seeks a highly capable engineer to take ownership of complex ground trials for advanced defence systems. You will build expertise across disciplines, supporting large-scale programmes and specialist testing environments.

Based in Hertfordshire with a mix of onsite and remote working, this permanent full-time role offers a competitive salary, annual bonus and enhanced pension, plus flexible leave options.

Qualifications

• Eligible to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
• Experience in engineering, trials, test or validation environments.
• Able to communicate technical information to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience working independently within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, preparation and delivery of ground trials for complex engineering systems.
• Develop and implement test activities to demonstrate system performance and safety.
• Analyze technical data, interpret trial results and produce clear reports.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, safety and validation disciplines.
• Contribute to long-term proving strategies and identify risks and objectives.
• Assist management of test programmes, coordinating activities and inputs.
• Support investigations and root cause analysis during testing.
• Gain expertise across environmental, EMC, mechanical trials and system validation.
