Job summary

Electus Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Electronics Test Engineer to own testing strategy as complex systems move from development into production within the defence sector. Hybrid working in Hertfordshire with regular on-site attendance.

You will introduce new test systems, diagnose issues, and develop specifications while mentoring engineers and supporting production readiness and documentation.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in electronics manufacture, test and fault finding.
• Strong understanding of electrical, electronic and RF measurement principles.
• Experience supporting product development lifecycles within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to prioritise multiple technical activities and deliver against project objectives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience producing technical reports and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Support the introduction of new test systems and facilities from development through to production readiness.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and electronic test issues at system, sub-assembly and circuit card level.
• Develop test specifications, operator instructions and supporting technical documentation.
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing and operational teams to overcome technical challenges.
• Contribute to production readiness activities and ensure appropriate configuration control is maintained.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
