Job summary

TUI Cruises GmbH is seeking an Regulations Lead to drive compliance across Ground Operations, manuals, and training, aligning with EASA, IATA, IOSA, and UK CAA requirements. You will lead a small expert team, prioritise regulatory deliverables, and liaise with authorities across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Proven experience in Ground Operations with regulatory knowledge (EASA, IATA, IOSA).

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong business English; international travel will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a small team of subject matter experts responsible for regulations, manuals, and training, allocating priorities and resources to ensure timely delivery of compliance objectives whilst coaching and mentoring team members to build expertise and resilience
  • Act as the senior subject matter expert for Ground Ops and ground Handling regulations, providing strategic advice to management
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on Ground Operations processes, ensuring Ground Operations Manuals (GOM/GHM/IPM) remain compliant and up to date
  • Represent Ground Ops in regulatory forums and maintain strong relationships with authorities (EASA, IATA, NAA)
  • Represent Ground Ops in internal meetings and maintain a strong relationship with Ground Ops Nominated Persons and AOC compliance, safety and security departments
  • Manage Ground Ops oversight performance data. Analyse trends and elevate/present data to relevant responsible managers
  • Oversee internal & external audits and ensure closure of non-compliance findings driving standardisation and simplification of processes across all TUI Airlines
  • Maintain and improve the departmental quality system (DQS) and ensure adherence to internal procedures
  • Support with IOSA revalidation audits as and when required
  • Oversee Ground Ops training programmes and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards, supporting the development of engaging training content and maintain digital training libraries
  • Act as the interface between Ground Ops and Safety, Compliance & Security teams, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and continuous improvement

Job description

As Regulations Lead, you will act as the compliance & regulations specialist and provide leadership and coordination across Ground Operations regulatory compliance, manuals, and internal training activities. This role ensures that TUI Airline maintains an outstanding portfolio of compliant processes and procedures, aligned with EASA, IATA, IOSA, and other regulatory requirements. You will act as the primary point of contact for regulatory matters within Ground Operations, driving consistency, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the team. You will manage and support the implementation of the new EASA & UK CAA Ground Handling Regulation, to ensure we are compliant with this new regulation both as an airline and ground handler.

We are happy to consider this role on a hybrid working model basis in line with local office attendance and/or business requirements (whichever is higher). Regular monthly travel should be expected between our Airline AOC office location and/or major airport bases.
