Job summary

John Lewis Partnership via Waitrose is recruiting for a Supermarket Assistant. This role covers 20 hours per week across seven days, including early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends. You will contribute to shelving, online orders, and friendly customer service within a busy branch.

You'll work alongside a supportive team to ensure accurate stock, reduced waste, and a positive shopping experience for customers, while adhering to store standards and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place at the right time.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver to customers.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns to those nearing sell-by dates.
• Supporting the wider shop team including checkout support and Click & Collect orders.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
