Sainsbury's Group is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to deliver groceries directly to customers’ doors. You’ll drive a refrigerated 3.5 tonne van, maintain vehicle checks, and ensure orders arrive on time and in good condition.

You’ll interact with customers, handle queries, and may assist in-store when not on deliveries. A dynamic, fast-paced role with physical demands and routes across varied locations.

Responsibilities

• Being the face of Sainsbury's at every doorstep you deliver to, making them feel valued through a friendly delivery service.
• Driving a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in great condition.
• Carrying out van checks to ensure roadworthiness, cleanliness and secure deliveries before setting off.
• Following planned routes and driving safely in diverse locations and weather conditions.
• Moving containers up to 15kg and delivering to properties with steps, lifts or longer walks from the van.
• Communicating clearly with customers, informing delays and handling queries or changes to orders.
• When not delivering, assisting across the store as needed.
• Comfortable driving larger vehicles in busy streets to narrow country lanes; high-energy environment.
