Job summary

Orchard Professional Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Fettler/Metal Finisher to join a busy manufacturing environment in Wakefield, working nights. You will be hands-on in fettling, finishing and preparing components for the next production stage.

The role offers an immediate start, permanent ongoing work, and a night shift uplift of up to 20%. You should be reliable with strong attention to detail and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience as Fettler/Metal Finisher/Fabricator/Welder
• Confident using grinders and workshop hand tools
• Good attention to detail
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Experience with mild steel or fabricated components is advantageous

• Fettling and finishing fabricated metal components

FETTLER / METAL FINISHER - IMMEDIATE START

We are currently looking for an experienced Fettler / Metal Finisher to join a busy manufacturing environment working Nights.

The Role:

• Fettling and finishing fabricated metal components
• Grinding and dressing welds
• Removing excess material, weld spatter and sharp edges
• Using angle grinders, die grinders and other hand tools
• Preparing components for painting, blasting or the next stage of production
• Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
• Working from drawings and job specifications where required
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
• Working to production targets and deadlines

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as a Fettler, Metal Finisher, Fabricator or Welder
• Confident using grinders and workshop hand tools
• Good attention to detail
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Experience working with mild steel or fabricated components is advantageous
