Job summary

Laing O'Rourke, a leader in energy infrastructure, is seeking a Risk Engineer for the Great Grid Partnership (GGP). You will lead risk identification, assessment and active management across cost, schedule, safety and quality, working with project teams, clients and delivery partners to deliver certainty on major packages.

The role requires strong communication, stakeholder engagement and advanced analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and risk modelling tools.

Qualifications

• Experience identifying and managing project risks across cost, schedule and safety.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management with senior leaders.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills using common office tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk identification, assessment and active management across packages.
• Develop risk plans, governance and clear reporting for the programme.
• Deliver QSRA/QCRA analyses and support forecasting and risk exposure.
• Coach and mentor teams on consistent risk practices.
• Support assurance, governance, KPI/KRI monitoring and continuous improvement.
