Job summary

Maidstone Borough Council is seeking a Green Spaces Operations Manager to lead the Borough’s green spaces, ensuring high standards and safe operations. The role reports to the Green Spaces Manager and collaborates with Team Leaders to implement biodiversity and climate action plans.

You will empower teams, uphold health and safety standards, and drive improvements in frontline services while embedding a culture of learning and accountability.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 4 or BTEC in an applied subject
• Level 5 management qualification
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational team maintaining and improving green spaces.
• Turn corporate priorities into practical park management actions.
• Champion health, safety and staff welfare across the service.
• Drive continuous improvement through learning and innovation.
