Job summary

Erewash Borough Council is seeking a Green Space and Street Scene Supervisor to lead Operational Services in the Place Directorate. This hands-on leadership role oversees maintenance, safety, and presentation across parks, play areas, and public spaces to ensure they are welcoming for all residents.

You'll supervise teams, manage grounds maintenance, respond to issues, support borough-wide events, and help improve play areas while ensuring compliance with environmental policies.

Qualifications

• Experience leading grounds maintenance and street scene teams.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and council policies.
• Ability to respond to issues like fly-tipping and vandalism.

Responsibilities

• Supervise teams across parks, play areas, and public spaces to deliver high-quality services.
• Monitor contractor performance and maintain inspection schedules.
• Support events with traffic management and site preparation.
• Contribute to design and improvement of play areas and street scene enhancements.
