Job summary

Arden University is seeking an Associate Lecturer to support our distance learning courses from a home-based setting in the UK. The role offers flexible, as-needed teaching across DL modules, with responsibilities including teaching online sessions, marking, supervision, and content development.

You must hold a recognised teaching qualification and have a degree in a relevant field, plus UK HE experience and distance-learning delivery. The role includes competitive benefits and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching and assessing students in UK higher education.
• Experience delivering distance learning.
• Up-to-date industry experience.
• Fellowship of Advance HE (or willingness to work towards it).

Responsibilities

• Teaching and Learning (DL): Lead interactive online sessions via Zoom and engage students.
• Marking and Assessment: Undertake formative and summative marking with deadlines.
• Supervision: Provide supervision and guidance for projects and dissertations.
• Authoring Content: Develop or revise lectures and learning content.
• Other Duties: Participate in meetings and staff development to maintain teaching quality.
