Job summary

Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity is seeking an organised, strategic Grants Manager to lead its grants and research funding programmes, overseeing the full lifecycle from application to award and impact evaluation. You will work with researchers, NHS colleagues and external partners to ensure governance and measurable impact for children and families in Sheffield.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing grant programmes, funding initiatives or complex projects.
• Ability to analyse information and use evidence to support decisions.
• Experience with governance, audits and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the Charity's grants and research funding programmes.
• Manage the full lifecycle of grants and funding awards, from application through to monitoring and project closure.
• Coordinate funding review panels, assessment processes and decision-making activities.
• Develop and maintain effective systems, processes and governance arrangements to support funding programmes.
• Monitor funded projects against agreed outcomes, milestones and reporting requirements.
• Analyse programme performance and impact data, producing reports and recommendations for senior leaders and trustees.
• Build strong relationships with NHS colleagues, researchers, grant holders and external partners.
• Work closely with fundraising and communications colleagues to demonstrate the impact of charitable funding.
• Ensure compliance with governance, audit and reporting requirements.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the Grants & Research Officer.
