Job summary

Pallant House Gallery Services Ltd invites applications for the role of Development Manager, Trusts and Foundations at Pallant House Gallery. The role is 0.6 FTE (3 days per week) with hybrid working options and a base at the Gallery.

You will lead on grant fundraising across trusts and foundations, research and secure funding for exhibitions, learning, community and capital projects, and manage relationships with funders and CRM records to support the Gallery's ambitious plans.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of soliciting and securing funding from Trusts and Foundations and other grant‑making bodies.
• Excellent writing ability.
• Experience engaging a wide range of stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of CRM databases.
• High level of financial acumen and literacy especially in budget development and planning.
• Desirable: experience in arts/culture/heritage environment.
• Desirable: Spektrix CRM knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a grants fundraising strategy aligned with business plan and priorities.
• Maintain a dynamic annual grant pipeline with opportunities and deadlines.
• Research, develop and prepare high‑quality applications for funding with colleagues.
• Write robust funding applications to grant‑makers.
• Advise on stewardship of key funders to maximise repeat funding.
• Ensure due diligence and CRM records are maintained.
• Plan ongoing strategy for cultivating Trusts and Foundations and prospects.
• Identify new grant opportunities and create prospect lists.
• Coordinate communications with grant bodies and collaborate with other departments.
