Job summary

Legal & General Group is seeking a Grant Compliance Officer to support affordable housing grant programmes with the Greater London Authority and other bodies. You will help ensure schemes are documented and delivered in line with funding agreements, regulatory standards, and internal requirements.

You’ll collaborate across Development, Delivery, Sales and Finance, bringing attention to detail, sound judgement and a team-focused approach to ensure compliant, high-quality housing outcomes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of social housing and the wider residential sector.
• Understanding of social housing development, housing management and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Experience of working with IMS and OPS systems.
• Effective project management and risk management skills.
• Experience in contract management and compliance.
• Strong attention to detail with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to work collaboratively with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the Grant Compliance Manager in recording and delivering affordable housing schemes in line with funding agreements and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with Development and Delivery Managers to ensure grant-funded schemes are recorded accurately in the IMS and OPS systems.
• Complete milestone claims accurately and promptly in accordance with grant funding requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date management and financial information across relevant schedules and systems.
• Monitor and record development expenditure for grant-funded schemes in preparation for the QDE.
• Improve existing processes to reflect regulatory changes and updates to the Capital Funding Guide.
• Collaborate with Development, Delivery, Sales and Finance colleagues to support compliance with affordable housing regulations.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders.
