Job summary

Acorn by Synergy is recruiting a Site Operative to join a small team at Avonmouth. The role involves controlling and managing the grain intake process, complying with health, safety and food safety procedures, and supporting weighbridge operations.

You will receive training in milling functions and product sampling, with the long-term aim of progressing to a Miller. Key responsibilities include silo duties, stock control, assisting with plant operation, hygiene duties, and documentation to meet

Qualifications

• Must be able to work as part of a small team.
• Must follow health, safety, and food safety procedures.
• Willingness to undertake training in milling functions.
• Must support weighbridge operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform all silo duties, from wheat intake and wheat transfer to the out-loading of products, including wheat feed.
• Support weighbridge operations and maintain accurate stock control records.
• Assist Millers with plant equipment operation and process control systems.
• Carry out hygiene duties to meet standards and food safety legislation.
• Conduct sampling and analysis of raw materials and products to meet quality standards.
• Assist in maintaining records and documentation related to operations.
