Job summary

Acorn by Synergie in Newport currently seeks Production Operatives to join a busy heavy‑industry production team. You will work on the production line with rotating days, nights and afternoons.

You will operate machinery, perform quality checks, load and unload, and follow 5S and safety guidelines. Full training provided where needed.

Candidates should be numerate, able to work under pressure, and flexible with shifts; GCSEs in maths/english are desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in heavy industry products and hot metals is preferred.
• GCSE maths and English passes are desirable.
• PC literacy with knowledge of Microsoft software is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to assist in the production process.
• Conduct visual quality checks of all products.
• Load and unload products onto the production line.
• Undertake manual handling activities and maintain safety.
• Operate robots manually if problems occur (training provided).
