Job summary

West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is seeking a motivated Workforce Development Graduate to join our People & Culture Services as part of the WMCA Graduate Development Programme. You’ll gain experience across programme coordination, data and insight, communications and stakeholder engagement while supporting apprenticeships, work experience and WMCA Academy.

The two-year FTC role is based in Birmingham with hybrid working (two days in the office).

Qualifications

• You don’t need prior workforce development experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt to different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, onboarding and monitoring of apprenticeship programmes and liaise with external providers.
• Coordinate work experience opportunities including Young Leaders Programme and T Levels.
• Develop WMCA Academy pathways for apprentices, graduates, interns and work experience participants.
• Collect and analyse talent data including completion, progression and learner satisfaction.
• Develop case studies and communications to demonstrate impact and social value.
