Job summary

AECOM in the United Kingdom is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to support dam and reservoir projects, performing calculations, reports and design work alongside experienced engineers. You will contribute to safety, regulatory compliance and sustainable design across a variety of assignments.

You will gain exposure to multi-disciplinary teams, learn through calculations and software tools, and participate in site visits to deepen practical understanding of asset performance in a dynamic hybrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree would be advantageous.
• Water-related modules or relevant work experience are pluses.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm, initiative and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake numerical analysis using specialist software for dams and reservoirs.
• Keep up-to-date with regulatory developments affecting design.
• Carry out research and apply theory to new situations to improve project delivery.
• Prepare designs, drawings, specifications and contracts.
• Write concise reports and present results to colleagues, clients and regulators.
• Join site visits to support dam inspections and asset understanding.
