Mainstone Veterinary Clinic is a small animal practice located in Romsey, Hampshire on the south coast of England, with good transport links to London, Bath, Oxford, and Brighton. We have a friendly and supportive team of 5 Vets, 6 Nurses and a wonderful administration team. Within our team, we have certificate holders in Ophthalmology and Emergency and Critical Care. We are looking for a new graduate to join our team who is self-motivated and eager to use their skills and knowledge to progress and develop.
Practice facilities and equipment include x-ray with floating table, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, dental x-ray, tonopen, slit lamp, cryopen, orthopaedic equipment (fracture repair and cruciate surgery), acupuncture and more.
40 hours per week over a 2-week rota. One week consists of 5 days generally with 3 shifts from 8:30am – 4:30/5pm and 2 shifts from 9:30am - 7pm. The following week over 4 days generally with 2 shifts from 8:30am – 4:30/5pm and 2 shifts from 9:30am - 7pm. You will also participate in our Saturday rota working 1 in 5 Saturday mornings. No on-call duties allow for a great work-life balance.
You will be supported by our Vet and Nurse team committed to providing learning opportunities and self-development. One of our Vets is a GDP adviser and assessor. Initially, there is no sole charge, except on Saturdays and when vets are on holiday.
