If you’re an ambitious graduate from Oxbridge or a top Russell Group university and you’ve ever imagined yourself in the classroom — shaping minds, sparking curiosity, and leading academic progress — this is your opportunity to step into that vision.
We are recruiting for several high-performing secondary schools across North and West London, each with a reputation for academic excellence and strong leadership. These schools are seeking exceptional graduates in core disciplines — Maths, English, Science, Humanities, MFL, and Computer Science — to join as Graduate Unqualified Teachers.
This full-time role offers a paid, immersive teaching experience where you’ll take on real classroom responsibilities from day one. It’s a chance to develop your teaching practice with the guidance of expert mentors, gaining the confidence and skills required for a successful transition into teacher training in September 2026.
Deliver lessons in your specialist subject under the guidance of experienced staff.
Support students in both group and one-to-one settings to raise attainment.
Mark and assess work, monitor progress, and tailor support strategies.
Develop classroom management techniques and gain insight into the wider life of a school.
Contribute to a collaborative, intellectually ambitious staff culture.
A 2:1 or above degree in a relevant subject from Oxbridge or a top Russell Group university.
A clear commitment to pursuing a career in teaching.
Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to engage and inspire.
Experience working with young people (mentoring, tutoring, outreach) is beneficial but not essential.
A salary of up to £30,000 while you gain hands-on experience in the classroom.
Structured support and professional development throughout the academic year.
A pathway to fully funded teacher training starting in September 2026, subject to performance.
The opportunity to work in one of London’s most respected school communities, with exceptional Progress 8 scores and sixth form outcomes.
You're motivated by the idea of making a difference in education.
You want to explore teaching before committing to a PGCE or school-based training.
You’re looking for a meaningful, impactful graduate position with long-term potential.
Applications are now open for September starts.
