The Role – Graduate Unqualified Teacher

As a Graduate Unqualified Teacher, you’ll be placed within a subject department that aligns with your degree. You’ll begin by working closely with qualified teachers to support lesson planning, deliver small-group interventions, and gradually step into a teaching role as your confidence builds.

This position offers a paid, full-time experience from September 2025 to July 2026, providing the perfect stepping stone into future teacher training.

Your Key Responsibilities – Graduate Unqualified Teacher

  • Assist with the delivery of lessons in your subject area across KS3 and KS4
  • Lead small group or one-to-one support sessions for students needing extra help
  • Contribute to lesson planning and classroom activities
  • Gain experience in classroom management and behaviour strategies
  • Learn from a skilled team of educators and receive weekly mentoring and feedback

What We’re Looking For – Graduate Unqualified Teacher

  • A 2:1 or higher in any relevant subject area (e.g. English, History, Maths, Science, Geography, MFL, Drama, etc.)
  • A genuine interest in working with young people and exploring teaching as a career
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A proactive, adaptable approach and a willingness to learn
  • Previous experience tutoring, coaching, mentoring or volunteering with students is advantageous but not required
  • Commitment to a full-time school-based role from September 2025
