Job summary

White Trees is an independent school in Coggeshall that focuses on pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). The Tutor will plan and deliver adapted lessons, support learners with calm, relational approaches, and monitor wellbeing and safeguarding concerns within a responsive team.

Reporting to the Deputy Head Teacher, you will work with SENCOs, therapists and families to create a safe learning environment, report progress, and use data to set aspirational targets for

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH (ASD/SEMH/SEN).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver adapted lessons.
• Support behaviour using calm, relational strategies.
• Monitor wellbeing and safeguarding concerns.
• Collaborate with SENCO, therapists, social workers and families.
• Create a safe, structured and nurturing classroom.Report and record pupil attainment and progress.
• Use data to set aspirational targets and plan engaging activities.

All pupils have an Education Health and Care Plan, with ILP's written based upon outcomes and aims from their EHCP's, which identify strategies and interventions to support their needs.
