Job summary

Harris Federation is seeking a dedicated graduate Tutor in Maths on a fixed-term contract to August 2027 at Harris Academy Peckham, London. The role is 37.5 hours per week over 38 weeks per year.

The actual salary is £26,136.15 to £26,509.45. You will deliver maths study programmes, maintain records, and liaise with parents while supporting students to meet examination targets.

Qualifications

• Evidence of maths at A Level and undergraduate degree (or equivalent).
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering programmes of study to small groups of students in 1:1 setting
• Liaising with parents regarding attendance, progress and attitude of designated students
• Maintaining records of students' progress in relation to their examination targets
• Completing relevant marking and providing feedback
• Within a whole class setting, highlighting individual students' learning needs to the teacher and agreeing how they will be supported
• Assisting the teacher in evaluating identified students' progress through agreed assessment activities
• Supporting identified students to engage with the learning objectives set for the lesson
• Planning with teachers the role they will take in the lesson, preparing resources that meet the students' needs and interests

Main Areas of Responsibility

Your responsibilities will include:
