Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Graduate Transport Planner to join the Transport Planning Team in the UK, with roles based in Glasgow/Edinburgh. You will help develop transport strategies, perform modelling and feasibility studies, and contribute to business case development for diverse projects.

You will be supported with training, working in a hybrid setup, and opportunities to progress as you gain chartership and professional experience within a global infrastructure firm.

Qualifications

• An interest in Transport Planning and developing a career in this industry.
• Willing and able to work towards chartership with the TPS, CIHT, or ICE.
• Good Microsoft Office skills essential such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external clients, both verbally & in writing.
• Enthusiastic, hard-working, with ambition and drive.
• Ability to structure & prioritise work effectively through close cooperation with the team.
• Ability to work in a team and independently without losing initiative & focus.

Responsibilities

• Data collection and analysis
• Development of transport strategies and plans
• Developing and applying transport models
• Scheme development and appraisal
• Preparation of transport assessments for developments
• Preparation of business cases for transport schemes
• Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, bids and proposals
• Attending meetings and workshops with clients, other discipline members and stakeholders.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across AECOM’s disciplines
