Job summary

AECOM seeks a Graduate Transport Planner to join its UK Transport Planning Team with a 2027 start in Bristol or Chesterfield. The role is hybrid and supports a broad range of transport planning activities for real-world projects.

You will assist in data collection, modelling, transport assessments and business cases while developing transport strategies under supervision. A structured graduate program offers training and client exposure, with Day-1 onboarding and clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• University degree requirements including Bachelors in Civil Engineering, Geography, Economics, Maths or MSc in Transport Planning (2:1)
• Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Economics, Maths or Transport Planning would be an advantage
• Transport Planning modules or experience would be an advantage
• Strong understanding of Transport Planning and related methods
• Willing to work towards chartership (TPS/CIHT/ICE)
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and effective communication with clients and teams

Responsibilities

• Data collection and analysis

• Preparation of transport assessments for developments
• Preparation of business cases for transport schemes
• Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, bids and proposals
