Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Graduate Town Planner to join its Cambridge team. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience across residential, mixed-use, and strategic land development, with structured training and clear progression.

You will work under an experienced team, supporting planning advice across a range of projects while aiming for MRTPI accreditation in a supportive, commercially focused environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Proactive and professional approach.
• Placement or internship in planning is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals.
• Undertake site appraisals and planning policy research.
• Support production of planning statements and reports.
• Engage with local authorities, clients and external consultants.
• Monitor planning policy and legislative updates.
