Job summary

Penguin Recruitment in Exeter is seeking a Graduate Town Planner to join its team. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on experience across residential, commercial, rural and heritage projects while you develop technical planning knowledge under experienced professionals.

You will assist with planning statements, appraisals, policy research and the submission of applications, attend meetings, and gain broad exposure as you build a career in planning with a supportive graduate training programme.

Qualifications

• Masters in Town Planning (RTPI-accredited) required.
• Interest in town planning and career development.
• Placement or internship in planning advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning statements and appraisals preparation.
• Support submission of planning applications.
• Undertake policy research and analysis.
• Liaise with authorities, clients, and consultants.
• Participate in site visits and meetings.
