Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Graduate Town Planner for London Aldgate or Bristol, hybrid working, with start between October and December. You will join a dynamic town planning team tackling policy planning and major consenting projects across the UK.

As a graduate, you’ll gain structured training, mentoring, and exposure to diverse projects while developing planning expertise and professional credentials. The programme includes RTPI-aligned development and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a degree or post graduate level qualification in Town or Urban Planning or a related discipline.
• Highly motivated, with excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid, multi-disciplinary environment and meet deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical inputs to land use planning projects as part of a team.
• Assist with planning consent applications for energy, water, infrastructure and large residential schemes.
• Carry out planning research and identify planning risks.
• Support business development and contribute to proposals.
• Represent the organisation at conferences and networking events.
• Share knowledge and support the Planning team management.
• Assist the management team as required.
