Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Graduate Sales Estimator to combine engineering knowledge with customer-facing responsibilities in a specialist engineering environment. Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent knowledge.
• Ambitious and eager to develop a successful career in sales.
• Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with customers.
• Commercially aware with an interest in understanding customer needs.
• Organised and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Numerate with excellent attention to detail.
• Able to learn technical products and applications.
• Team player with a positive, proactive attitude.
• Good Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing customer enquiries and understanding requirements.
• Preparing quotations, estimates and proposals.
• Following up quotations via phone and email to convert opportunities into orders.
• Building strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Supporting customers with product selection and technical queries.
• Identifying new business opportunities through regular customer engagement.
• Maintaining accurate records and managing enquiry pipelines.
• Processing customer orders and associated documentation.
• Working closely with engineering, purchasing and operations teams.
• Supporting exhibitions, customer visits and wider sales activities.
