Job summary

Five Education is recruiting graduates to work as Teaching Assistants in mainstream and special schools in Plymouth. You will support students with learning, social development and emotional wellbeing, often one-to-one or in small groups, including SEND needs such as Autism or ADHD.

The role offers flexible full-time or part-time supply work starting September 2025, with daily pay of £90–£100 (holiday pay included). No DBS required upfront, training provided.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate seeking to gain experience working with children and young people.
• Empathetic, reliable, and confident with strong communication.
• Willing to learn and receive specialist training in SEND.
• Experience in youth work, care, tutoring, or support roles is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Support students in class with learning, social development and emotional wellbeing.
• Work one-to-one or with small groups of students with needs such as Autism or ADHD.
• Assist with classroom activities and behaviour management.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
