Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Bromsgrove. This full-time position starts immediately and involves supporting pupils across the primary age range, including those with SEND.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm, with a pay rate of £14.25 per hour. A degree and DBS check are required, and you will work with teachers, support staff, and parents to foster a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• A degree qualification, or due to graduate this summer
• Experience supporting children or young people in any setting
• Genuine interest in education and child development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive, patient, and resilient approach
• Interest in SEND and inclusive education
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Availability for a full-time commitment

Responsibilities

• Support learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes
• Provide one-to-one support and small group interventions
• Assist pupils with SEND to access classroom activities
• Encourage confidence, independence, and engagement in lessons
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff and parents
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, nurturing school environment
