Xaverian College, a Catholic Sixth Form College in Manchester, is seeking a Mathematics Graduate Teaching Assistant. The role offers up to 21.75 hours per week during term time, on a fixed-term basis until July 2027, with salary pro rata to SFCA scales.

The successful candidate will support small groups and individuals in Mathematics under the Maths department, ideally a maths graduate or final year student. Start ASAP, closing date 12 noon 9 November 2026.

• Provide expert subject specialist support for small groups and individuals under the guidance of the Maths department.

Hours/Contract: Up to 21.75 hours (negotiable, please specify on application form), Term time only (0.52 FTE), Fixed term until July 2027.
Salary: SFCA Support Staff Salary Scale point 6-7 £25,558 – £25,951 per annum pro rata (actual salary: £13,332 – £13,537 per annum).
Start date: ASAP.
Closing date: 12 noon, Monday 9th November 2026.

This ‘outstanding’ Sixth Form College is looking to appoint a Graduate Teaching Assistant of Mathematics. The successful candidate will be flexible and be expected to provide expert, subject specialist support for small groups of students and individuals under the guidance of the Maths department. This role would be suitable for a graduate in the relevant field, or somebody in the final year of their degree.
