Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking university graduates to work as Teaching Assistants across primary, secondary and specialist schools in South Yorkshire and Chesterfield. Roles offer flexible part-time and full-time opportunities, with typical school days from 8:30am to 3:30pm, term-time.

No prior TA experience is required; we welcome motivated, reliable candidates who want to make a positive difference and gain transferable skills while earning money.

Qualifications

• Hold a university degree in any subject.
• Live within South Yorkshire or the Chesterfield area.
• Be able to provide two professional references.
• Be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS check and meet safeguarding requirements.
• Be prepared to complete essential safeguarding and professional conduct training.
• Demonstrate a professional, reliable and enthusiastic approach to working with children and young people.
• Have excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and development.
• Gain practical experience in classroom management, communication and behaviour support.
• Support children and young people with a range of learning needs and abilities.
• Develop essential professional skills including teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving and leadership.
• Gain first-hand insight into the education sector and explore future career pathways.
