Job summary

Graphcore's Graduate Software Engineer, System Software QA 2027 is a two-year program based in the UK with placements in Bristol or Cambridge. Start date is September 2027, with hands-on learning and ownership from day one.

You’ll validate firmware, Linux drivers and tooling while shaping robust CI pipelines and test strategies. You’ll work closely with System Software teams to strengthen test-driven development and tackle challenging engineering problems that matter to Graphcore’s AI compute

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Maths, Data Science or a related field.
• Experience with Linux internals and/or firmware is desirable.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Clear written and verbal communication and a collaborative approach to solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Validate low-level firmware, Linux kernel drivers and platform tools.
• Design and develop tests and investigate issues to feedback on quality.
• Maintain and improve CI pipelines across platforms and enable test-driven development.
• Collaborate with System Software teams to connect findings to software improvements.
