Job summary

Engage Education in Rochdale is seeking a Graduate Support Tutor to deliver tailored 1:1 and small group academic support to GCSE students in English, Maths or Science.

You will work with Year 11 students, monitor progression and address weak points, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 08:30 to 15:15 during term-time and paid £95 per day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Maths or Science with at least a 2:2 classification.
• Prior tutoring, mentoring or work with young people/children is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for education.
• Ability to build rapport with secondary-aged students.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group academic support in English, Maths or Science.
• Work with Year 11 students preparing for GCSEs.
• Monitor progression and address academic weak points.
• Support the school Monday to Friday during term-time (08:30–15:15).
• Deliver engaging sessions to improve GCSE outcomes.

• Monday to Friday role - November 2026 to July 2027
• Working hours: 08.30am to 15.15pm
• Paid £95 per day during term-time

Graduate Support Tutor - Applicant Requirements:

• Prior experience tutoring, mentoring or working with young people/children
• Excellent communication skills with passion for education
