Arup is a global consultancy offering advisory and technical expertise across many disciplines. This graduate opportunity focuses on learning the craft of structural engineering, shadowing an experienced engineer, and contributing to projects that prioritise low-carbon design.

You will work with teams across projects ranging from major infrastructure to building alterations, with a strong emphasis on professional growth, training, and achieving accreditation while learning to deliver

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Structural, General or Architectural Engineering, or Engineering Science, at 2.1 or above
• Studying, or have studied, an ICE or IStructE accredited course
• A passion for structural engineering

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural calculations, modelling, engineering and analysis
• Design structural engineering solutions that are economical, practical and low carbon
• Communicate through drawings, modelling, BIM, meetings, reports and emails
• Work with teams, cooperate, help others, solve problems together
• Learn the practice of structural engineering, codes, materials and construction techniques
• Plan work with deadlines and collaborate with the team
• Take responsibility for quality, delivery and personal development
• Find new ways of working using scripting, automation and bespoke tools
• Develop relationships and contribute to the life of the team and network
