Job summary

Pertemps Tm is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer for its Aberdeen office. The role offers exposure to temporary works projects across the UK, from concept to construction, with mentorship and development toward professional chartership.

You will work alongside experienced engineers on a range of projects including rail, heritage, commercial, residential, and major infrastructure schemes. This is an excellent chance to build broad technical and practical experience while progressing toward

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Genuine interest in structural and civil engineering design.
• Motivated to learn and develop towards professional chartership.
• Able to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the development of engineering concepts and practical design solutions.
• Producing engineering calculations, reports and technical documentation.
• Preparing and reviewing CAD drawings and design information.
• Undertaking risk assessments and supporting safe design practices.
• Attending site inspections, surveys and project meetings.
• Supporting projects from initial enquiry through to completion.
• Liaising with contractors, clients and internal design teams.
• Participating in structured training and professional development programmes.
