Job summary

Pertemps in Aberdeen is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join its office, supporting temporary works projects across the UK from concept to construction and building a foundation for professional chartership. You will work with experienced engineers on calculations, CAD drawings and site inspections, with structured training and ongoing mentorship.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Genuine interest in civil and structural engineering design.
• Motivated to learn and progress toward chartership.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of engineering concepts and practical design solutions.
• Produce engineering calculations, reports and technical documentation.
• Prepare and review CAD drawings and design information.
• Undertake risk assessments and support safe design practices.
• Attend site inspections, surveys and project meetings.
• Support projects from enquiry through to completion.
• Liaise with contractors, clients and internal design teams.
• Participate in structured training and professional development programmes.
