Job summary

Mott MacDonald is offering a graduate Structural Engineer position in the Building Structures and Civil Infrastructure streams. You will work with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver structural solutions across a range of projects, from feasibility to construction support.

You'll gain exposure to design, analysis, and sustainable approaches, using digital engineering and BIM tools while developing through a three-year early careers program.

Qualifications

• < 12 months relevant experience (excluding placements)
• Bachelor's degree (obtained no earlier than 2025) or expected degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Some opportunities require a Master’s degree
• Security clearance eligibility: UK national or 5+ years UK residence

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of structural solutions for buildings and infrastructure.
• Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Develop conceptual design options and feasibility studies.
• Undertake detailed design using concrete, steel, and other materials.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, architectural).
• Support site visits, inspections, surveys, and construction activities.
