We are working with an Ofsted-rated Good SEND school in West Leicester who are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate STEM Outdoor Learning Mentor to join their team.
This is a unique opportunity for a graduate who wants to pursue a career in teaching and is excited by the idea of using practical, outdoor and woodland-based learning to engage students with SEND.
You’ll work closely with the school’s teaching and SEND teams, taking a lead on outdoor and woodland activities designed to engage students and support their wider development.
You’ll use your STEM knowledge and enthusiasm for practical learning to create experiences that help students develop their confidence, independence, problem-solving skills and curiosity.

Previous school or SEND experience is desirable but not essential.
Experience in tutoring, mentoring, volunteering, coaching, outdoor education or working with young people would be beneficial, but the school is particularly interested in graduates who demonstrate the academic ability, personality and ambition to develop into excellent teachers.
