Job summary

Leonardo Newcastle is launching an 18‑month Engineering Graduate Programme for graduates who want to shape innovation, advance technology, and contribute to global safety on real‑world projects.

On joining, you'll receive a starting salary of £34,000 per annum, plus a £1,000 welcome bonus and a £1,000 exit bonus on completion. Some candidates may be eligible for a Temporary Accommodation Allowance (TAA).

Qualifications

• A 2:2 Bachelors or Integrated Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong programming background in an object‑oriented language (e.g., C++).
• Experience with UML and academic/industrial placements related to the degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality, robust code for real‑time aerospace/defence projects.
• Document work products and keep them under configuration management.
• Collaborate with Software, Systems, Firmware and Electronics engineers on integration.
