Job summary

Shivom Consultancy Ltd. is seeking bright IT graduates to join our growing engineering team in London. This full-time, permanent role offers hands-on software development experience using Java and Python, with exposure to cloud platforms and AI/ML initiatives.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate within the last 12–24 months with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong foundational programming skills in Java and Python, demonstrated through academic projects, personal projects, or internships.
• Basic understanding and demonstrable interest in Cloud Computing concepts and at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with fundamental AI or ML concepts, including algorithms, data processing, and model evaluation.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles and scripting best practices.
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a logical approach to technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a passion for technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable software solutions primarily using Java and/or Python.
• Assist in the design, implementation, and deployment of applications leveraging Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Contribute to the research, development, and integration of AI/Machine Learning models and solutions (e.g., data preparation, model training, deployment).
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, Operations) to deliver high-quality software.
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
• Engage in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Actively learn new technologies and methodologies, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, identifying and implementing effective solutions.
