Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. in Cambridge is seeking an SDE-I to solve real customer problems with scalable cloud services. You will own code from design to deployment in a fast-paced environment and contribute to GenAI-enabled tooling and operational excellence.

The role targets students or recent graduates with strong programming skills in Java, Python, C++, or similar languages, plus familiarity with cloud platforms and CI/CD practices. Excellent communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or above in a STEM field or recently graduated.
• Expected graduation Oct 2025–Sept 2026 or within 24 months of graduation.
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, and OO design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design and operate innovative products.
• Develop scalable cloud-native services using microservices and CI/CD.
• Participate in code reviews and document technical decisions.
• Contribute to resilient distributed systems and on-call duties.
