Job summary

Northrop Grumman UK is offering a Graduate Software Engineer role in New Malden, London, starting September 2027. You’ll contribute to live projects and help deliver software for UK defence programmes as part of a structured two-year Graduate Programme.

Working in a multidisciplinary engineering team, you’ll design, develop, test and integrate software, applying Agile and DevSecOps throughout the lifecycle while learning from experienced engineers and mentors.

Qualifications

A relevant degree, such as Software Engineering or Computer Science.
Genuine passion for software development and computing.
Experience writing software in one or more object-oriented programming languages (Java, C++, C#).
Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Strong analytical skills and logical reasoning.

Responsibilities

Contribute to software development projects within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Design, develop, test and integrate software solutions.
Apply Agile and DevSecOps throughout the software lifecycle.
Participate in technical reviews and collaborative team activities.
Learn from experienced engineers and contribute to mission-critical UK defence capabilities.
