Job summary

Northrop Grumman UK is seeking a Graduate Software Engineer in London area. You will contribute to live projects, design, develop and test software, and apply Agile and DevSecOps practices from day one.

The programme starts September 2027 and offers a two-year structured development path with mentoring and rotation opportunities. You will work on software-centric capabilities to support UK defence programs, using Java, C++, and other OO languages in multidisciplinary teams, with hybrid working

Qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent knowledge.
• Passion for software development and computing.
• Experience writing software in object-oriented languages such as Java, C++, C# or similar.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical skills and logical reasoning.
• Ability to solve problems creatively and meet timelines.
• Openness to growing into the role and contributing to projects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to software development projects within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Design, develop, test and integrate software solutions.
