Graduate Site Engineer - Required for our client to join their specialist Civil Engineering contracting business based in West Sussex. The company that the Graduate Site Engineer will be working for is a well-established Civil Engineering contractor, working on projects from conception through construction to project delivery. Their specialties include water and wastewater, infrastructure, and coastal protection.

The Graduate Site Engineer will support the Senior Site Engineer and Site Engineer.

Graduate Site Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary: £28k - £32k DOE
• 25 Days holiday + BH
• Pension up to 10% match

Graduate Site Engineer Position Overview

• Day-to-day setting out and surveying
• Monitoring movement, vibration, noise levels, material certification, etc.
• Checking calibration of survey equipment
• Checking and recording new drawing issues for amendments and variances, highlighting these to the Site Manager
• Monitoring and recording material volumes imported, exported, used, or waste in conjunction with the Site Manager
• Calling off materials and measuring quantities
• Assisting the Site Manager with site returns and quality system paperwork
• Arranging material deliveries
• Ensuring a safe working environment and maintaining standards of Health and Safety, Environment, and Quality
• Raising technical and other queries

Graduate Site Engineer Position Requirements

• Experience working on construction sites, ideally in marine, flood defense, water, or infrastructure environments in an engineering role
• HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience with site surveying and setting out
• Experience with total stations and GPS surveying systems
• Full driving license
• Experience supervising team members
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Some experience with surveying and AutoDesk software packages
• Microsoft Project (desirable)
