Job summary

Ribbons & Reeves are seeking a motivated SEND Teaching Assistant for a Brentwood primary school from September, to support children with autism, ADHD and SEMH, and to gain hands-on experience ahead of careers in education or psychology.

The role involves 1:1 and small group support, working with SEND professionals, and helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive relationships in a warm, supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Graduates with a 2:1 or First-Class degree in a relevant subject.
• Experience working with children or young people through tutoring, mentoring or similar.
• Patient, proactive and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
• Willing to build long-term experience within a primary school environment.
• Available to work full-time from September with immediate trial opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support across the primary school setting.
• Support pupils academically and socially to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships.
• Work with experienced SEND professionals including Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists and SENDCOs.
