This SEND Teaching Assistant role is ideal for a Psychology graduate or related background seeking hands-on school-based experience before qualifying in Speech and Language Therapy or Educational Psychology.

You will support pupils with SEND, including autism and communication needs, both in and out of the classroom, working 1:1 and in small groups under guidance

Qualifications

• Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist or Educational Psychologist
• Psychology Graduate or graduate from a related subject
• Previous experience with children or young people desirable
• Passionate about SEND and communication needs
• Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach
• Confident supporting pupils on 1:1 and small groups

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND and communication needs across the school
• Assist in 1:1 and small group settings under guidance from SEND team
• Observe and contribute to Speech and Language interventions and strategies
• Provide hands-on experience to strengthen future applications in related fields
